The single state of North Carolina uses more antibiotics for livestock than the entire United States uses for humans.

Food is a necessity. We eat it every day. We feed it to our kids. Get angry. Write, email, call your legislators. Buy local when you can. Know where your food comes from, though sometimes it’s difficult to decipher. Grow some vegetables if possible. As a consumer, do the best you can. Our food industry obviously isn’t.
