Letting baby lead

I'm a big believer in letting babies lead. They're pretty good at letting us know what they want and need, if we're just able to listen. (Remind me I said this the next time I'm lamenting/complaining about where exactly one of my nestlings is trying to lead me.) But sometimes, if you let them lead, the bonus is they take you somewhere you want–or even need–to go. Like today, when my 6 month old decided I needed to nap with him. He held tight to my hand and didn't let go until I snoozed right along with him and his big brother. (Big sister is "too big" for naps anymore and was hanging out with her eldest cousin and Granny.) Heaven. And exactly what I needed.

Run run Rudolph! Almost time for the #reindeerrun! I'm thinking after my mood this week, perhaps I should try this. #calm #magnesium #doesthisreallywork How excited do you think these kids are getting ready to be at pickup? #snow #ChathamNC #ncweather #ncwx One of my favorite holiday traditions is to shoot down mistletoe, but this year the kids are taking it to a whole new level! #Christmas #tradition #holidays #crafts #mistletoe
